The decision depends on the observed condition, roof age, materials, availability, code or manufacturer requirements, and the written scope.

Spring and summer storms can bring hail, high wind, heavy rain, and fallen branches to the same neighborhood. Before storm season, know where your policy information is, keep exterior photos for comparison, and note existing wear so it is not confused with new damage.
