Hands down the easiest insurance claim I've ever had.
Hands down the easiest insurance roof claim experience I've ever had! With his experience and expertise, the owner himself made the entire insurance experience a complete breeze.

Akron's neighborhoods were built fast, one rubber company at a time, and the roofs show it. We inspect for the housing-era failure pattern your street actually has, document what we find, and guide you through the insurance process start to finish.
"After the big storm last spring, Cornerstone was out within 24 hours. They documented all the hail damage, worked directly with my insurance company, and had my new roof installed in two days. Couldn't be happier with the results!"

Northeast Ohio Project
Cornerstone Roofing and Siding
Akron was built by the rubber industry: B.F. Goodrich relocated here in 1870, Goodyear followed in 1898, Firestone in 1900, and General Tire in 1915. Akron's population grew 201.8 percent in the 1910s, the fastest-growing city in America that decade. Goodyear built the Goodyear Heights neighborhood for its workers and Firestone built Firestone Park for its. Those South Akron blocks are still filled with craftsman bungalows framed with plank sheathing, not OSB. On pre-1950 Akron homes, we inspect every plank for rot and delamination before new underlayment goes down.
Summit County has real storm history. On April 14, 2019, a confirmed EF0 tornado tracked through the Comet area with 52 to 61 knot thunderstorm winds recorded at Barberton, Ellet, and Akron Fulton International Airport (NOAA Storm Events Database). Further back, June 8, 2007 brought what the National Weather Service's Cleveland office called 'Softball Hail in Akron, OH,' with numerous tennis-ball and at least one softball-sized stone. Hail bruising on shingle mats rarely shows from the ground; it shows on ridge vents, step flashing, and downspout bands, which is what a professional inspection finds.
Akron runs a two-office permit process that trips up out-of-town contractors. The Summit County Department of Building Standards at 1030 East Tallmadge Avenue issues the permit, but only after the City of Akron's Plans and Permits office signs off on the same submission. Cornerstone submits to both offices and coordinates the final inspection before a job is considered closed. If a contractor suggests skipping the permit, that's a red flag: the work won't be inspected, and it can complicate your insurance coverage and resale.
