    A letter from Camen James

    Why Cornerstone exists

When a storm comes through, most homeowners are not shopping for a roofer. They are trying to work out what happened to their house and who they can believe.

I started Cornerstone in Wooster because I had watched that moment go badly for too many people. Crews that showed up once and never came back. Estimates that changed after the check cleared.

So we built the opposite. We photograph the damage and the work, we meet your adjuster on the roof, and you get the whole file. You file and own your claim. Our job is to make sure nothing on your roof gets missed, whether it is a roof replacement, storm repair, or new siding.

If your roof took a hit, call us. We will come and look at it, and there is no charge and no obligation after.

What to know about our team, credentials, and the way we work.

Cornerstone Roofing and Siding is a locally owned roofing and siding contractor based in Wooster, Ohio, serving Northeast Ohio homeowners. We are an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor focused on insurance-claim roofing, storm damage repair, and residential exterior work.

Yes. Cornerstone Roofing and Siding carries general liability and workers' compensation insurance, and certificates are available on request. Ohio does not issue a statewide roofing contractor license, so we register with the individual municipalities that require it and pull permits on every job. Owens Corning also requires ongoing proof of insurance and good standing to keep our Platinum Preferred status.

Cornerstone Roofing and Siding opened in December 2024 in Wooster, Ohio. In our first twenty months we completed more than 1,000 roofs and earned Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor status, and opened a branch in Valley View. Our crew brings years of roofing and siding experience from before Cornerstone existed.

We specialize in insurance-claim roofing. We document storm damage, meet your adjuster on-site, and provide a detailed scope of repairs so you can work with your insurer. We use Owens Corning materials with manufacturer-backed warranties, and we are local, headquartered in Wooster with crews serving the full Northeast Ohio region.

Yes, two of them. Cornerstone Roofing and Siding provides a 10-year workmanship warranty on our own installation. Separately, our Owens Corning Platinum Preferred status lets us register the Owens Corning Platinum Protection Limited Warranty, the highest tier Owens Corning offers. It covers the full roofing system rather than the shingles alone and adds manufacturer-backed workmanship coverage, and only Platinum Preferred contractors can register it. The exact terms for your roof are included in your project documents.

Let us take a clear look at your roof.
