Barberton's housing stock reflects its industrial heritage as Summit County's 'Magic City.' The blocks around downtown Barberton, Snyder Avenue, Robinson Avenue, and the Wolf Creek corridor contain some of the oldest working-class homes in Summit County — craftsman bungalows and vernacular two-stories from the 1910s and 1920s that have been through multiple roofing systems. Many carry two-layer shingle stacks, the maximum permitted under Ohio residential code.
